These Terms of Service cover your use of mendoing.com and the events MenDoing runs. By using the site or reserving a spot, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or book an event.
Who we are
MenDoing is a Houston, Texas community that organizes in-person activities for men: garage nights, fishing, cook-offs, builds, skill-sharing sessions, tours and more. MenDoing is run by Jay, the owner. You can reach us at info@mendoing.com.
Who can join
You must be 18 or older to join an event. Events where alcohol is served or included (for example a brewery tasting) are for ages 21 and over. We may ask for ID. You are responsible for making sure the event you book is right for your age and ability.
Reserving a spot
You reserve a spot by paying on the site through PayPal or a credit or debit card. Your reservation is confirmed when payment goes through and you get a confirmation email. Prices are shown in US dollars. Spot limits per booking and event capacity can change without notice. Exact locations and details are emailed before the event.
Refunds and cancellations
Refunds and credits are covered in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Waiver and risk
Every activity carries some risk. By reserving a spot you also agree to our Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk. Please read it before you pay.
Behavior at events
Everyone who joins agrees to follow the Code of Conduct. We can remove anyone from an event, without a refund, for unsafe behavior, harassment, discrimination or ignoring the host or organizer. We can also decline future bookings from that person.
Your account and information
You agree to give us accurate information when you reserve a spot, sign up for alerts or contact us. How we handle that information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Photos and media
We may take photos and video at events and use them to promote MenDoing. Details and how to opt out are in the Waiver.
Hosts and venues
Some events take place at the homes, shops or businesses of hosts and partners. Hosts and venues are independent from MenDoing. They are not our employees unless we say so, and they set reasonable rules for their space that you agree to follow.
Our content
The MenDoing name, logo, text, photos and design belong to MenDoing or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages. Please do not copy or sell our content without asking first.
Using the site
Do not misuse the site, try to break or probe it, scrape it in bulk, or use it to send spam. We may change or remove parts of the site at any time.
No guarantees
We work hard to run good events, but we cannot promise any particular result, skill level, weather, turnout or experience. The site and events are provided as they are, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent Texas law allows, MenDoing’s total responsibility to you for any claim connected to the site or an event is limited to the amount you paid for the event in question. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise. Please email us first so we can try to sort it out.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
